Prior
to announcing APM 2019 selection, we’d like to share great achievements made by
previous APM projects.
The Science of Fiction (Indonesia, APM 2014) by Yosep
Anggi Noen was selected for the International Competition of Locarno Film
Festival 2019. The French Woman
(Korea, APM 2016) by Kim Hee-jung had its world premiere at Jeonju
International Film Festival 2019, and Ravening
(aka. Voracious, India, APM 2017) by Bhaskar Hazarika also had its world
premiere at Tribeca Film Festival this year.
Even
those projects that are still continuing their journey to their completion
brought us good news.
The Final Print (Korea, APM 2018) directed by Jang
WooJin and produced by Han Sunhee were selected for No Borders International
Co-Production Market of Project Forum at IFP Week 2019 after having participated
in Ties That Bind (TTB) 2019.
Cu Li Never Cries (Vietnam) by Pham Ngoc Lan and Glorious Ashes (Vietnam) by Bui Thac
Chuyen were selected for Locarno Open Doors this year. They were first revealed
at APM 2016 and APM 2017, respectively.
Two
directors from Nepal, The Maw Naing and Fidel Devkota, were each selected for
LAtelier of Cannes 2019 with their APM projects, The Women (Myanmar, APM 2017) and Bone Trumpet (Nepal, France, APM 2018).
Congratulations
on the great achievements made by previous APM projects! We hope you will
continue your support and encouragement for APM’s official projects.
