FAQ

All the applications should be submitted online by June 15, 2022. There will be no extensions or exceptions. Any application submitted after the official deadline date will NOT be processed.

Browse APM official website → Click [Submission] on the top → Click [2022 Guideline] and "Apply for APM 2022" button → Fill out the necessary form and attach documents. (Attachments must be in a format that works with Microsoft Office Word or Adobe Acrobat. The file must be less than 5MB.)

Director of the project must have an experience in directing at least one short or one feature film before and a producer of the project must have an experience in producing at least one feature film before.

You may submit several projects; however, APM does not select more than one project from one applicant.

No, we do not accept projects without a director.

A producer who has produced more than 1 feature film must be attached.

You may send one or two from the director’s recent major films.
If there is no feature-length available, short films will be accepted. However, it does not include music videos.

Yes, we do. Any previous work without English subtitle will not be considered as the submission materials and for selection

Yes, APM does confirm receipt of applications. However, an inevitable delay may happen due to the volume of submissions.
If you do not receive any confirmation from APM 7 days after the submission, please contact APM team.

Around early-August of the year, all applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by email. Please make sure that the submitted email address is correct and operational at all time. If your contact email changes, please let us know immediately.

No, unfortunately, due to the number of submissions we receive, we are unable to correspond with each application. Officially, we do not disclose or publish any comments or opinions on each candidate project.

No, we don’t accept a script. It is difficult for the selection committee to review the whole script in a limited time. We would like to recommend handing in a treatment which is 5 to 8 page-long.

APM selection committee would like to have an overall picture on how wisely you will use your budget to bring your project into reality. Even if the plan is vague and not yet precise, we would like to see that you have your own plan in terms of budget for the entire process (development, pre-production, production, post-production).

You can only re-apply projects previously submitted to the APM that were not selected if there is a significant change to the project. The change must be clearly identified in your application. For example, you can explain how or what is significantly changed in Director’s Statement section of the application form.

Yes, but we prefer ‘project market premier’ that never been introduced at the other project markets or business matching programs before.

No. Basically APM is for art house film projects but we accept and cover all ranges of budget and genre.

Yes. Once the online application has been completed, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you from APM. Please note that you will be able to review or edit your application by the deadline through the confirm receipt of submission.
