Sørfond Award A Chronicle of Minor Things (working title)Director: Tribeny RAI Producer: Kislay KISLAY Production Country / Region: India
"This year’s winning project stood out for telling a thought-provoking story about a teenage girl’s death that turns into a dispute over territory. It resonated particularly in its exploration of the hierarchies of ordinary life. Or as the director herself states: "the compromises that decent people make every day until injustice begins to resemble normal life." A theme that feels especially relevant today."
QCinema Special Award GoldfishDirector: Aditya AHMAD Producer: Muhammad ZAIDY, Meiske TAURISIA Production Country / Region: Indonesia
"The Indonesian project, Goldfish, is the filmmaker’s concept for his first feature in a story set in South Sulawesi where he grew up and it’s about a gentle boy who escapes from his distant father. The script has been in development through the La Résidence du Festival de Cannes and also the TorinoFilmLab. From the filmmaker’s acclaimed shorts, and with the backing of Palari Films, the project holds much promise as a debut feature as the first ACFM recipient of the QCinema Special Award."
