Officially selected projects become contestants for APM Awards endowed by APM official sponsors.
Financed by Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan Award commits 15,000USD in cash to one selected project chosen from APM official line-up. Busan Metropolitan City administers additional annual funds, aiming to lend stronger financial support to promising filmmakers participating at APM.
ONE COOL Award commits 15,000USD in cash to one selected project. The ‘First Look Option’ regarding production, investment, sales and distribution of the winning project may be bestowed by One Cool Pictures through discussion between the winner and One Cool Pictures before presenting the award.
CJ ENM Award commits 10,000USD in cash to one selected international project. The 'First Look Option' regarding production, investment, sales and distribution of the awarded project may be bestowed by CJ ENM through discussions between the winner and CJ ENM before presenting the award.
TAICCA will provide the TAICCA Award, committing 10,000USD in cash to one selected project chosen from the official Asian Project Market selections. The selected project will be supported by Taiwan’s International Co-funding Program 2.0 Option 2 (TICP 2.0 Option 2), which can fund up to 49% of the total budget with a cap of 600,000USD, if it meets the requirements within three years of winning the award.
Visual Industry Promotion Organization (VIPO) sponsors VIPO Award which commits 10,000USD in cash to one selected project chosen from APM official line-up.
Red Sea Film Fund sponsors the Red Sea Film Fund Award which commits 10,000USD in cash to one selected project chosen from APM official line-up.
ARTE Kino awards 9,000EUR in cash to one selected project chosen from APM official line-up.
Songwon Award, which is sponsored by Songwon Foundation, commits 10,000,000KRW in cash to one selected project from APM official line-up.
KB Award, which is sponsored by KB Kookmin Bank in Korea, commits 10,000,000KRW in cash to one selected project from APM official line-up.
ARRI awards an earmarked grant of 25,000USD for rental of ARRI equipment of the winning project or one set of ARRI ALEXA Mini camera with accessories, including four pieces of Ultra Prime lenses in rental to one official APM project.
Kongchak Studio Award represents an in-kind prize worth 25,000USD in sound post-production services and facilities. Kongchak Studio will also cover travel and accommodation to Cambodia for the director (only 1 person) of the winning project to undertake the project’s sound post-production.
*The director(s) can defer the sound post-production for up to 2 years following APM selection.
Sørfond, the Norwegian South Film Fund, will invite an eligible project from APM official line-up to the Sørfond Pitching Forum of the year with a prize package; a round trip ticket and accommodation for one delegate.
*In the case that the Sørfond Pitching Forum will change from an onsite edition to a virtual online edition, the selected APM project will be compensated with a grant of 1,000EUR.
1. APM holds no responsibility for any copyright violation of the award-receiving project. If such an event occurs, any responsibility, legal or otherwise, shall lie solely with the award recipient.
2. When a project wins any of the APM official awards, upon its completion into film, the project must insert the logo of the sponsoring company / organization, logo of APM and a line mentioning the winning of the award in its credit.
